Dr Punit Ramrakha (MA, BMBCh, FRCP, PhD) - Consultant Cardiologist

Punit was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in 2002, at the Hammersmith Hospital in London and Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust. Over the years he has been Clinical Director of Medicine, the Clinical Lead for Cardiology and most recently the Clinical Lead for Heart Failure in the Trust. In 2005, Dr Ramrakha founded the Chiltern Hills Heart Clinic, Buckinghamshire’s first private cardiology clinic. Dr Ramrakha also consults at The Beaconsfield Clinic (DoctorNow), The London Heart Practice (Harley Street Clinic) and King Edward VII’s Hospital in London.

His practice spans the spectrum of heart diseases from coronary artery disease (angina), hypertension, heart valve disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias (e.g. AF) to cardiac prevention and rehabilitation. He gets involved with a wide range of procedures such as complex coronary angioplasty with stents, rotational atherectomy, permanent pacemaker implantation, closure of holes in the heart (ASD and PFO), and renal denervation for resistant hypertension.

Dr Ramrakha has published several medical textbooks including Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine, Oxford Handbook of Acute Medicine, Oxford Handbook of Cardiology, which have been translated into several languages. Recent publications include articles on cardiac rehabilitation and novel biomarkers to identify individuals at high risk of cardiac disease.

Natalie Nicholls - Cardiac Physiologist

Natalie carries out our non-invasive cardiac investigations like ECG, ambulatory ECG, ambulatory BP monitors. She has a BSc in Clinical Science and Cardiology, with a speciality in Echocardiography. She has over 20 years’ experience, having achieved her accreditation by the British Society of Echocardiography 15 years ago. She has a special interest in Cardio-Oncology (heart conditions related to cancer therapies) and in Heart Failure. She also works for Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Wycombe General Hospital.

Kim Samuell - Practice Administrator

Kim joined the Practice in December 2011. She is responsible for the day-to-day practice management and administration. Kim ensures the practice runs smoothly, helps with procedure and clinic bookings, insurance related questions and general patient queries.

Her main responsibility is to ensure the practice meets any regulatory requirements, fulfils any equipment needs, billing queries and supports any clinic projects.

Alison Brown - Practice Secretary

Alison is the Practice Secretary, first point of contact for patient calls and emails. She is responsible for managing and booking clinics, addressing any patient queries, correspondence, scheduling further tests and procedures.

Yvonne Tillner - Practice Support 

Yvonne is responsible for managing patient records, ensuring patients’ medical data gets securely uploaded to the appropriate systems to enable doctor analysis and review. She is also secretarial support dealing with patient queries, calls, appointments and diary management.
